Meet Katie Risser

Katie Risser is passionate about life long learning and growth and sharing that passion with others.

She believes that “when you know better, you do better” ~ Maya Angelou.

Katie has has spent the last several years reading and learning as much as she can about spirituality, parenting, and personal growth. That is how she met Sylvia. Katie was a member of Sylvia’s first online Centsable Allowance pilot class.

Katie has always had a passion for people, learning about them and helping them.

Her passion for people lead her to graduate from Elizabethtown College with her Masters in Occupational Therapy. She has spent her career as an OT working with children and families with special needs, primarily children on the Autism spectrum. While working at two different schools she has helped to develop programs focused on teaching students primary life skills such as dressing, toileting, hygiene, food management, physical fitness, and job readiness.

Katie currently resides in Pennsylvania with her two elementary-aged daughters. They enjoy spending time together camping, sewing, reading and being with family and friends.
